On my way to this session, the sky was full of rainstorms and sun breaks and I saw the most beautiful and vibrant rainbow. When I walked into their hospital room, there was this sense of such peace and wholeness. You see, this couple had tried for years to start a family. Issues related to military service and PCOS, lead them to 8 rounds of IUI’s, then to IVF and 3 rounds of egg retrieval with 4 failed embryo transfers. The 5th and final transfer took but sadly was miscarried this time last year. Heartbroken, they decided to try one last time, with a donor egg which brought their rainbow baby, almost exactly a year later! When I heard their story and remembered seeing that rainbow in the sky, I immediately got chills. What an incredible story of faith and hope. What an incredible journey of determination and perseverance. Welcome to the world, Frankie! You are truly a blessing to everyone around you!
